WhatsApp starts rolling out payments service in India from today

WhatsApp which had been testing its payment services in India with 1 million users in early 2018, has finally launched its feature in the world’s second largest internet market. The Facebook owned service said Friday that it is rolling out payments in 10 Indian regional languages on both Android and iOS. This announcement was made by NPCI the body that operates UPI payments. WhatsApp has built its payment service like Google, Samsung and other firms.

WhatsApp said that it is working with five leading banks in India: ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank, Axis Bank, the State Bank of India and Jio payments.” This feature has too much advantages over other payments apps. They also stated that this payment feature will see a much faster adoption than any other apps.
