The one movie that everyone is looking forward to is Vijay’s Master. Master was supposed to release in April but due to the pandemic situation the theatres had to be closed. The unfortunate news is that even though the theatres are opening Master will not release any time soon. The reason for that is that the theatres are opening only with 50% occupancy and depending on how the response is, the release of new films will be decided. Thalapathy’s Master deserves a full crowd and it is definitely worth the wait.
Over the past few days there have been various rumours regarding Master’s OTT rights and whether Master will release in theatre or OTT. Now Master movie producer Xavier Britto himself has clarified that Master will definitely be a theatre release first. He also said that a popular streaming platform has bagged the rights for the film. Yesterday we said that it might be Amazon. Let’s keep our fingers crossed. As of now Master is planned for a Pongal release provided the theatres follow the procedure. He also said that Master’s release will bring back the crowd to the theatre and will revitalize the industry and give it a new energy. So as of now Master in Theatres first.
