No Mega Auction For IPL 2021 – Official Announcement from BCCI on Dec 24

After the IPL 2020, got over there are so many  news and stats about the two or three new teams and franchise for the next year IPL such as Ahmedabad, Indore, Kanpur , Kerala and so on .But from BCCI there is no official confirmation from the management since it will be huge process to build the franchise from the core like retaining the player  from the auction to building the franchise with the sponsors will not be a easy thing for both the management  and franchise in these kind of situation. Instead of mega auction , according to sources BCCI likely to conduct the mini auction for the IPL 2021 . So Franchise can trade the  players within the teams and release few players in the auction for the next IPL2021 and can bid new players according to their limit on squad numbers & amount on their purse which will be decided on the official meeting from BCCI on 24th December 2020 .

Teams which suffer on MINI -Auction decisions ?

Teams like Chennai Super Kings, Kings XI punjab ,Rajasthan Royals might affect with this decision  of mini Auction since they did not find the core team in the IPL 2020 and have to rebuild the team from scratch and to get the right replacement in the mini auction will not build the team strongly also with the second wave of Covid alert there are chances that IPL might not be conducted in the home /away grounds. Since the world is not resumed perfectly from the Covid-19 situation .

Teams which enjoy the mini -Auction Decision ?

Teams  like Mumbai Indians , Sunrisers Hyderabad , Delhi Capitals found their core team in the IPL 2020 and have to adjust only a few things in the upcoming tournament and they might use this chance well to get the strong combination of squad for 2021.
